Panel will automatically pop up and cascade in front of the Main

Panel.

LED’s –LED’s indicate which of the parameters are displayed on the

Digital Display. A red LED indicates that the parameter name next to

this LED is selected. Only one LED can be ON at a time.

HINT

Pressing the button below the LED will turn on the LED.

You can also select an LED by clicking on the LED itself!

Dial – Use the dial to modify displayed reading. To use the dial,

press and hold the mouse cursor on the dial and move the mouse in

a clockwise circle to increase, or a counterclockwise circle to de-

crease the displayed number. The dial modifies digits at the cursor

position and allows modification within the legal range of the dis-

played parameter. If you reach the end of the range, turning the dial

has no further effect on the display. If you do not want to use the dial,

you can still change the display reading by using the [

↑

], or [

↓

] keys,

or simply by typing the required number using the keyboard.

NOTE

After you change the displayed readout, the 3155 up-

dates with the new parameters only after the Execute

button is pressed.

Digital Display – The display is used for displaying and reading

various 3155 parameters, just as it would on an instrument panel.

The Main Panel The Main Panel, as shown in Figure 3-3, is the first panel you see

after invoking WaveCAD. If you press the Exit button on the main

panel, you’ll exit the program completely. Notice how buttons and

LED’s are grouped; this is done specifically so that common pa-

rameters are placed in functional groups. The Main Panel groups al-

low (from left to right) adjustment of amplitude and offset, selection of

the waveform type, selection of the operating mode, control of the

SYNC output, control of the backplane trigger line outputs and the

state of the main output.
